Units & conventions
Per-quantity display units, why raw velocities are stored exactly as measured, and the conventions worth knowing.
Set display units per quantity (or the US/Metric presets) in Settings. Internally everything is stored in canonical units and converted only at the screen edge — your raw chronograph velocities are stored exactly as measured, never transformed.
Conventions worth knowing
- Windage deflection is signed positive-right, and the Dial column shows the opposite (the correction).
- Twist is always quoted in inches per turn, and density altitude in feet — both by universal convention regardless of your unit settings.
- Temperatures you type are ambient/powder temperature; ammo velocities are referenced to 59 °F / 15 °C.
Decimal commas are accepted everywhere a number can be typed.
